Why “Thrive”?

This word conveys the goal of our work together: for our schools, leaders, staff, and—most important—students to thrive. To attain this goal, there's nothing better than gathering and supporting one another in person. 

Building on best practice and your feedback, we’ve reorganized Thrive to: 

• offer critical insights grounded in the challenges school leaders face today; 

• foster meaningful connections you can draw upon long after the conference; 

• provide inspiration to enrich what you do in your job every day; 

• expand your individual and team growth through practical ideas and innovative approaches to implement in your school; and 

• help you recharge and walk away with a renewed sense of joy and purpose in the important work you do. 

You’ll hear more in the weeks to come about specific programs and new opportunities at Thrive 2025. A lot goes on at the NAIS annual conference, but what’s most important is the experience of being together. 

We know that coming to Thrive requires a commitment of time and resources, but I believe it’s one that will pay dividends. We have so much to learn from each other—and when we do, we strengthen our community of independent schools. Plus, we’ll be in Music City!
